Today I’ve got a simple yet flavourful recipe for Korean Style Baked Halloumi. This dish is perfect for anyone who loves a mix of spicy, sweet, and savoury tastes.
Halloumi, known for its firm texture and salty flavour, pairs really well with a Korean-inspired glaze made from Gochujang, honey, soy sauce, and lime juice.
In this recipe, you’ll bake the Halloumi wrapped in a parcel to ensure it stays moist and absorbs all the marinade. The process is straightforward: prepare the glaze, coat the cheese, and bake. After 30 minutes of baking, you’ll open the parcel to allow the Halloumi to brown slightly, adding a bit of extra texture and enhancing the flavours.
This dish makes a great starter or a light meal, especially when served with toasted bread. The combination of the creamy Halloumi with the tangy and spicy glaze is sure to please your taste buds.
The preparation is quick and doesn’t require any special skills or equipment. It’s a great option for a casual weeknight meal or when you’re having friends over and want to offer something a bit different. The ingredients are easy to find, and you might already have most of them in your cupboard.
I hope you enjoy making this Gochujang Honey Halloumi. It’s a simple recipe that brings bold flavours to the table. Happy cooking!
